Yoga
Yoga: This word brings a smile to my face more and more every day!
My very first memory of yoga is one that took place in high school, a group of class mates and I pulled all the desks aside so that a guest yoga teacher could take us through a guided meditation practice. To this day I remember feeling like the sun was shining from within my body, there was so much warmth and peace within by the end of the practice.
I was thrilled when last year I had the pleasure of studying with the most amazing women I have ever met. They guided me further toward my true self, also showing me how much further there is to go on my journey with yoga.
To me yoga is a personal journey that is to be felt, explored and adapted to each individual, allowing each student to be their own teacher on their very unique journey.
I teach Beginners, general (intermediate) and corporate groups.

Yoga Information
What is yoga?
The word yoga, from the Sanskrit word yuj means to yoke or bind and is often interpreted as “union of breath and body” or a method of discipline.
How Many Times Per Week Should I Practice Yoga?
Yoga is amazing!
If you practice for one hour a week, you will begin to experience some of the benefits. A more regular yoga practice will of course boost the benefits you will see and feel.
Yoga can help with your mental state to decrease anxiety and depression. It can bring a greater range movement into the body as a whole, increasing strength and even cardiovascular fitness depending on the style of yoga that attracts you.
If time constraints are an obstacle — try a short 10 minute yoga session focused on your tight areas.
You will likely find that after awhile your desire to practice expands naturally and you will find yourself doing more and more.
